The challenge.

Dutch citizens and companies must be able to log in to the government safely and reliably. To achieve this, electronic identification means will be introduced that are more reliable than the current DigiD. Gorilla IT has been asked to connect ABN AMRO Pensions to the new Logius routing facility.

The case.

With the help of Gorilla IT, Dutch citizens can safely and reliably log in to the ABN AMRO Pensions portal.

Dutch citizens and companies must be able to log in to the government safely and reliably. This is one of the goals of the Digital Government Act. To achieve this, electronic identification means (eID) will be introduced that have a higher degree of reliability than the current DigiD. Public service providers thus have more certainty about someone's identity. An eID is the digital version of the passport or identity card.

Logius has developed the routing facility to support organizations with a public task in taking this step. This facility offers one technical connection for login resources and therefore one contract, one invoice and one contact person. By connecting to the Routing Facility, public service providers can prepare for the obligations of the Digital Government Act.

The pension platform of ABN AMRO Pensions was developed in collaboration with Gorilla IT. Until recently, access to this platform was limited to DigiD only. Due to the strong architecture of the pension portal, adding an extra authentication method was easy.

This means that ABN AMRO Pensions can now support all available means of identification. For Thom van Boxel, Product owner of ABN AMRO Pensions, this is an important step: 'It is very important for ABN AMRO Pensions to comply with all laws and regulations surrounding digital access. We do this with the Routing facility. Together with our developer Gorilla IT, we have realized this connection, making us 'future-proof'," says Thom van Boxel, Product Owner of ABN AMRO Pensions.
